    Hi waytod365,

Would you specify what is your factual intent? What does it mean by blanking the date field?

    Hi there,

    Try below expression

    =iif(isNothing(First(Fields!ID_ValidToAr.Value, "LetterDS")), ' ', Format(CDate(First(Fields!ID_ValidToAr.Value, "LetterDS")),"yyyy/MM/dd"))

    Thanks,

    Thanks for your replay sir,

I tried your expression but, after deploy getting error:

substring 'IsNothing' in expression. The parser reported error message: Syntax error. TSPReport

    Oh its syntax mistake try

    =iif(isNothing(First(Fields!ID_ValidToAr.Value, "LetterDS")), ' ', Format(CDate(First(Fields!ID_ValidToAr.Value, "LetterDS")),"yyyy/MM/dd"))

Use a double quote instead of a single quote.

    =iif(isNothing(First(Fields!ID_ValidToAr.Value, "LetterDS")), " ", Format(CDate(First(Fields!ID_ValidToAr.Value, "LetterDS")),"yyyy/MM/dd"))

I tried double quote and deploy is succeed , Now two cases its show  '[tag:Error]'

I did SSRS service restart no luck.

If its data in date field its also show '#error'.

What could be the causes and resolutions, please give me solution.

    Hi,

Please add the field in report after this date column without any formatting only add Fields!ID_ValidToAr.Value then share the result,

    Getting error possible ways,

    1. Data is not vaid - by the cDate method system not able to find the date formatted value.

NOTE : Don't use first in expression if you are showing records in table(transaction).

    Thanks
