CRM 2013: Change the owner of Processes

Hi All,

What could be the best way to change the Process owners in Production environment CRM 2013.

Why the number of processes exported from Advanced find and processes pesent in - Settings-->Processes-All processes view are different.

If i am trying to change the owner from advanced find view then what exactly in the background happens. As i can see 2-3 processes with same name.

Can I have urgent threads on it.

Thanks,

Mugdha Kelkar

A Search for all Processes with no filters in Advanced Find will show all Processes, but the system view All Processes does not include Business Rules. That is the most likely reason why you are seeing a different number of processes.

You can change the Process Owner by using the Assign function. Be cautious in re-assigning Process Owners in a production system, because this can change the security context in which the Process runs. This can affect whether the Process has sufficient privileges to records, how email notifications are sent, who can access the Process, etc.

    Hi Gary,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have one concern like if some user is leaving the organization then we should do this cleanup and reassignment activity, but what if we re-assign the owner from system view All Process. will it be proper reassignment also the user which we are assigning would be having all permissions(Admin).

For PBL category, how can we reassign the user.

It would be great if you suggest.

    -Mugdha
