Execute a SQL script in PROD

It is possible to execute a sql script in AxDB in Production ?

The installation package has a file what seems to run the script 'ExecuteSqlAXDB'.

Anybody knows if this file can be used to execute a SQL Script?

Hi Adrian,

If you need to run a script, contact Microsoft Support to have it executed. Don't experiment with unsupported ways of getting it done. We had some issues at a customer where we worked together with Microsoft to have scripts executed.

I just started working with D365 F&O. Does contacting Microsoft support help write SQL scripts for invoices—unpaid/paid, open invoices?

Hello,

No they don't help with creating SQL scripts, that is not their role. As an alternative (to executing a SQL script in production) you can create and execute your own custom scripts in production, see link below.
