HI there,

I want to restrict access to AOT for developers.

User can view AOT objects, code but shouldn't be able to change/modify anything.

How an this be achieved?

No, there is no real secure way to prevent a developer with access to the AOT not to change the code. You can create obstacles making it harder to change the code, but a developer will eventually be able to change the code. If you are developer, you have by definition access to change the code.

I think the real question is why you want someone to have access to the AOT but not be able to change the code. The answer will probably reveal other options, like involving separation of environments, extensive auditing or perhaps introducing code repositories (check-in / check-out elements).

I think Tommy said it. Just want to add layering (USR/USP) as possible tools you can use.
