D365 for Finance and Operations Persona Users

What is the process for logging into the D365 for Finance and Operations environment as the various "persona users" that are delivered with the system for demonstration purposes? I have my own login tied to my organizations domain and AD but I am trying to show the various differences in profiles and security leveraging the existing users and their assigned roles that come in the environment by default. Is there a specific process to be followed for this access?

Any help or input here would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi tomercur,

    You need to create demo users in your ADD and then go to System Administration - >  Users, find demo users and change "Email" and "Provider" to assign existing AX users to new demo users from your AAD.  You can read how to add users from different AAD blog.johanpersson.nu and how to set "Provider" right.

    ievgen,

    Appreciate the direction. This post was very helpful in understanding the details, but sadly even after these changes I have not been able to access the persona users so assuming a password was changed by Microsoft and I just haven't found the combination. I will explore further the AAD setups and see if maybe that unlocks anything in this adventure.

    You did not get what I proposed.  There is demo user April, she has email like april@ax7.onmicrosoft.com or something like this in demo DB. You don't have access to that account because you don't know password from april@ax7.onmicrosoft.com. So you need to go to your AAD, lets say tomercur.onmicrosoft.com and create new user april@tomercur.onmicrosoft.com. You know password from april@tomercur.onmicrosoft.com because you created it!

    Now you change email in AX for April from april@ax7.onmicrosoft.com to april@tomercur.onmicrosoft.com and use it to logon to AX. Your AAD will authenticate it instead of demo one.

    Thank you for the clarification as I did in fact miss that connection. I completed the steps you mentioned and my login as one of the persona users worked perfectly!
