Purchase price imports

Hi all!

My customer needs an efficient and easy way to frequently update their products purchase prices by import of price files from their vendors. They receive the price files in Excel format.

File contains vendor id, product nr, price and upon import I guess a new trade agreement journal should be created and posted..

What options would you say we got here?

    DIXF/DMF, or write a script. Excel Add-in struggles at times with journals but you could investigate it. It depends upon your version and skills.

    I would recommend you just create the journal, then review and post (this way you catch errors better).

    When you say "you would just create the journal". How do you mean it should be created? Configuring the AIF?

    Could the catalog import functionality be an option here?

    Manually create a journal, then if you export it you have all of the details you need.
