Field Level Security for section or tab in form

In my form, I have grouped some related fields into one section. I want to restrict the access to these fields for certain profiles. Is it possible to apply Field Level Security to section or tab, so that I don't need to apply field level security for each field? 

I can show or hide section using javascript based on the roles but I want to avoid this for security restrictions.

Any help and guideline, a pointer will be a great help.

    Hi

    Field level security is not available for Tab or Sections in the Form.

    You have to apply individually for each field.

    you can't apply FLS on sections or tab.

    what you can do eventually is to create a javascript that will hide the section if all the fields inside are protected by FLS, you can start from this script I wrote and adapt it to your logic change:
