Hi

How can I bring partner data fields using in POS Plug-ins -Services to Commerce Run-time-Services.

Eg. I created a new partner data field X in PriceService (Retail SDK\POS Plug-ins\Services).

How can I access this field value in PricingEngine service (Retail SDK\Commerce Run-time\Services\Pricing\PricingEngine) .

Thanks in Advance

    Hi,

In PricingEngine RetailTransaction object will be converted to SalesTransaction object.
It's expected that RetailTransaction.PartnerData will be converted to SalesTransaction.ExtensionProperties.

But as I know, the bug exists and POS loses PartnerData during conversions.
The hotfix KB 3150768 describes this bug and could be helpful:

    Hi,

Please, use LCS and Issue search to download hotfixes.

Sorry, I am not sure if it's allowed by Microsoft rules to post links to hotfixes on external resources.

    RE: Commerce Run-time\Services

I downloaded and installed the hotfix.

Now I facing some errors in \POS Plug-ins \Services classes.

Eg. While building \Retail SDK\POS Plug-ins\Services\Item, its shows some error like
(Even if there is no customization)

Error  1      The type 'DevExpress.XtraEditors.XtraForm' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'DevExpress.Utils.v14.2, Version=14.2.107.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b88d1754d700e49a'.

Once we added the reference DevExpress.Utils.v14.2, it starts to shows some duplicate  reference error.

    Error  2      The type 'DevExpress.XtraEditors.PanelControl' exists in both 'C:\Program Files (x86)\DevExpress 2011.2\Components\Bin\Framework\DevExpress.Utils.v11.2.dll' and 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Retail POS\DevExpress.Utils.v14.2.dll'

If I remove DevExpress.Utils.v11.2.dll, its shows different error.

Error  3      The type 'DevExpress.LookAndFeel.ISupportLookAndFeel' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'DevExpress.Utils.v11.2, Version=11.2.111.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b88d1754d700e49a'.

Please help me, how can I go-ahead.

    Thanks In Advance

    Hi,

Verify that the Retail SDK version is compatible with the version you have installed the DevExpress.

    Se this Links:

    Hi,

After installing the hotfix your SDK should also be updated.

Hotfix number (KB3150768) is higher than CU10 (KB3102920), and CU10 SDK doesn't have references to 11.2 DevExpress, as I know.  So your SDK also should not have references to 11.2 DevExpress.

    RE: Commerce Run-time\Services

    Dear Rodolfo/Oksana,

Both of you guided me the right direction.

It’s something related to the version issue.

We are using AX 2012 R3-RTM version only, we can’t upgrade due to some critical customizations done in the system.

The hotfix (KB 3150768), that I applied for the Partner data conversion issue is developed based on AX 2012 R3-CU9/higher (Even its shows for AX 2012 R3 only).

How can I go forward, waiting for your valuable suggestion.

    RE: Commerce Run-time\Services

    Hi,

Then the only way is to write a question to Microsoft, because this bug is in closed DLL (you cannot change it by yourself).

Did you try to test: maybe in RTM version issue with PartnerData doesn't exist?

I know that this bug exists in CU8-CU10, but never worked with RTM.

    Regards,

    Oksana
