Dear all,
I have faced the following error message while trying to send SMTP mail from SMTP Server (smtp.gmail.com).
Microsoft Dynamics NAV
The SMTP mail system returned the following error: "The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.".
OK
This is happening in the PC where NAV Server is installed.
How to solve it ?

Make sure you have configured your Gmail for 3. party access.
Hi,
Pls check your Certificate date & expiration

This can happen when you have installed an antivirus on your server and the "Scan Outbound Emails" on your basic protection is activated. Just uncheck it and you should be fine.
Turn off the your anti-virus 'Mail Shield' and in your gmail account turn on the 'Allow less Secure apps'.
Hi,
I'm using codeunit 400 (NAV2013R2) & able to send emails from smtp.gmail.com server in my Test Machine but can not do the same in Live Server.
While trying to send emails from Live Server, it gives the error message like "The SMTP mail system returned the following error: "The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.".
As per error message I have checked the Certificate & it's found expired. So I've created a new one but still facing the same error message.
Try sending mail using 397 Mail Codeunit (Using Outlook).
Gmail may not allow you to send the mail via NAV.
Q. Which certificate?
A. Server certificate
I've created a new certificate, but still the same error message is coming.
Which certificate?
