    You seem to be very confused.

    CIL compilation can only be done executed within the AX client.

    X++ compilation can be done within the AX client, and through the axbuild tool, which can be found in the AX AOS bin directory.

    The article which you have linked clearly explains where the axbuild tool resides in, you need to change directory there first! The AX instance name could be different from MicrosoftDynamicsAX, for which you need to change it to your environment name.

    The axbuild.exe could be executed from there, you need to use the following parameters:

    xppcompileall (for X++ code compilation)

    /s=01 (the number of the AX AOS instance which you want to run it for, it is important in case you have multiple AOS instances on the same computer)

    /w=8 (the number of worker threads to compile on, it depends on your CPU cores for the server).

    You also have to stop the AX AOS instance before compilation.

    I would strongly suggest to read the documentation:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn528954.aspx

    Hi Vilmos,

    I already stated full CIL compile based on  your replay,and compile execute pass 1 and pass 2 but in pass 3 the ax.build had been crashed,I tried full compile several times by using 2 workers. @Vilmos Kintera 4431.Capture2.PNGevent viewer errors:

    Again, axbuild is not doing CIL compile, but X++ compilation - please try to use the correct terminology.

    Regarding the crash, you could try updating your AX kernel to a more recent version and see if that helps.

    Or maybe you forgot to stop the AX AOS before running axbuild.

    If those are resolved and you still get a crash, you might have to collect a crash dump and open a Support Incident with Microsoft to analyse it for you to determine the root cause.
