    Good evening,

What do you mean with the credit module exactly? The collections module in the accounts receivable module is a great addition in AX2012 compared to previous versions. I think the screens designed for the collections process are complete and provide a good graphical user experience, enabling you to follow the collections process from start to end, including the option to create collection cases, define instant reports on open transactions that can be send to the customer and so on.

Of course improvements are always possible, like some additional tracing when you have to hand over a customer to a collection agency, but I think the functionality is great and if you are missing functionality, it is possible to extend the module (we did this a couple of times).

    Hi,

The debtor management in AX2012 is quite good. I do miss a mechanism for targeting and to burn down outstanding balances.

E.g. there can be a procedure to have a list of actions:

    - 7 days due: call customer - note the result (promised to pay or disputed)

    - 14 days due: sent first reminder

    - 21 days due: call customer - note the result

    - 28 days due: sent second reminder

    - 42 days due: send last reminder

    - 50 days due: hand over to an agency.

Based on open transactions AX would be able to create activities assigned to collection agents of the company (team members). they are responsible for creating the collection letter or calling the customer.

When you can setup more target action lists you can have the normal procedure and also one where the interval in days is shorter to try getting outstanding balances earlier.

I have seen this customized several times.
