AX 2012 auto deployment

We are using VSTS for project management and version control. We have three environment dev, stage and production. For stage deployment, we are moving models from development to stage, for production deployment, we are moving model store from stage to production.

We have on premises environments.

Could you please guide me that how to do the auto deployment?

Is there any step by step document/article available?

Thanks.

There is no such thing as auto deployment.

You always need to take manual actions in a release, i.e. database synchronization, running update jobs, changing parameters and setup, deploying or refreshing AIF services, and so on.

We have created semi-automation in PowerShell similar to what Microsoft did with their build and deploy scripts here:

    [View:https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Build-and-deploy-for-b166c6e4:750:50]

In the first script we copy/uncompress/import a compressed modelstore into a temporary schema, before the outage window time.

Then in the 2nd script we stop all services, apply the schema against DBO in the modelstore, remove label files on the AOS, remove user cache files in the RDS hosts, start a single AOS in maintenance mode to carry out the manual steps.

Once finished, a final script is executed to stop maintenance mode, bring back the services online, and validate if all AIF ports are correctly up. I have published an article on the last piece here:
