How to assign Business Units to Products?

Hello,
 
We have two companies and want to create business units but these two companies have different products, how can we assign products to a business unit?

    Can  you explain a little further what you are trying to accomplish here? Do you want to restrict the products sellers can add to an opportunity based on which business unit the seller and product belongs to? Or do you want to assign business units to products for reporting purposes only?

    Hi,
     
    The product entity doesn't have the owner field, which means you can't assign it as you would any other record.
    You can allow only users with this permission to make changes to product entity records:
    In addition, business units belong to one organization and if two companies use two tenants, their data cannot be shared.
