Document Storage in D365 F&O

Hello Experts,

We Have D365 finance and Operation on premise version , I want to know  how and where attachments are stored in D365.  i found one table DOCUREF where all the references of attached document gets stored.

But where the files are stored and in which format , please advise.

    Regarding the format , you can configure file types in the application which can control  the types of files that users can attach to records.

    Hello Sukrut,

    Thanks for the response , Actually i found the location , it stores on ADFS server on aos-storage\Documents folder. my concern is i want to retrieve these attached document and send them with email to the user , using Power Automate.

    Sending part i will manage , but is there any way to retrieve it ?  if you know

    I found attached files are Encrypted, is there any way to decrypt this file . so i could get the actual attached file?

    Hi Sachin,

    The files are probably not encrypted. They don't have a meaningful file name and no extension. The details of the file are stored in the DocuRef (and possibly DocuValue) table.

    Hello Andre, Yes you are write , files does not have same name and extension as attached with the form. the folder file name reference i found in DocuValue Table.
