Discounts not reflecting in the sales order

Hi,

I set up the discount and price adjustment in AX 2012 R2 in retail module. But it is not reflecting in the sales order. Should I run any job to process it? I am not using sharepoint and I didn't install share point. Can you tell me how to apply discount and price adjustment in AX 2012 R2?

    Hi Sathish Sivakumar,

I do not what steps you have done so far but as far I know you do not have to run any jobs in order to get trade agreements to work.

I am not sure if there are any differences in the retail-module but for ordinary sales orders you have to activate price/discount under Sales And Marketing/Setup (otherwise there will not be a price search).

If not setup you can take a look at this post:

    Hope this helps.

    /Dan

    Hi Dan Emreus,

I am okay with that. Using trade agreements it's working fine for me and also I checked on the sales and marketing module too, its fine for me(everything is enabled). If I give discount in the retail module it will affect on sales order? or I have to know about if I set discount in retail module it is used only on sharepoint online store?

    Hi again,

I found this link and it seems that prices needs to be distributed:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../dn497746.aspx

If you give discounts in retail module I do not think that it should affect sales orders but I am not sure.

Before R3 the only way to get the retail discounts onto a sales order was to create the sales order through the POS or Online store. In R3 with call centre functionality you can now get these discounts in standard AX client Sales orders.

Make sure your discounts are applied to your correct channel and Products or they will not be applied to any sale at that chanel

    Hi Ian,

Can you give me the steps for applying the discount in the retail module and it should affect on the sales order. Can you explain it on AX 2012 R3.

If it's a sales order created in AX (not POS), retail dicounts are not reflected. In R3 there's a new call center module, where you can create sales orders that reflects retail discounts and price groups.

If you are using CRT then you need to leverage AddDiscountCodeToCart Method to apply a discount code (you can look into Online Store sources to see an example). The information about setting up discounts in AX can be found here: About price adjustments and discounts [AX 2012]
