Sandbox to production

Hello Community Experts,

I had few requirements where i had to customize forms etc, and change few settings such as enabling outlook, documents etc. And i have performed all this changes on the Sandbox given to me.

My question is, how do i make all this available in production now, the production has 1 lack plus data.

Most of the things I'm performing is my first time, as I'm still learning. If anybody could guide me in such a way that there should be no production data loss, it would be really really helpful.

Many thanks,

Best Regards,

Sumaira Noor

    Hi partner,

There is no difference between the functionality of the two instances of D365.

The only difference is that Sandbox supports manage the instance like delete, add, reset or copy and production does not support.

Production instance is considered as your LIVE environment which was made available to your end users and You cannot perform some admin actions on your Production instances.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi partner,

    Sorry for my misunderstanding.

1.If the production and sandbox are the same instance, just convert sandbox to production instance in power platform admin center.

2.If you have another instance which is production, you could export a solution with all your changes from sandbox and then import it into the production instance.

    Hi partner,

You need to use Configuration Migration tool for Dynamics 365  to move data between instances.

This is a safe operation, the data file is always in your hand.

Please refer to the following links for more steps.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../transfer-data

    docs.microsoft.com/.../manage-configuration-data

    Hope it helps.
