From the projects we have done, the two names that come up most often are Continia Document Capture and ExFlow.
Continia is the one we use the most. Mature on BC, OCR is solid, three-way matching with PO and Receipt works well out of the box, and approval routing is flexible enough, by amount, dimension, vendor or hierarchy. Mobile approval app is a real time saver. Downside, pricing per document can add up if volume is high, and setup takes some time to get right.
ExFlow is the other strong one, more popular in Nordic markets but works fine elsewhere. Approval workflows are powerful and the matching engine is good. Some customers prefer it over Continia when approval rules are very complex with many dimensions.
Beyond these two, Microsoft has been pushing the standard E-Document feature in BC, which is improving but not yet at the level of Continia or ExFlow for full AP automation.
Honest opinion, for most BC customers Continia is the safe bet, well supported and Microsoft-validated. ExFlow if the rules are very complex. Standard BC features are catching up release after release, but today the ISVs are still ahead.
