I am unable to see Infolog in the alert mail triggered by batch job.

is there a way to change the contents of alert mail.

You can't see it, because it runs on batch server.

The title mentions debugger - you can debug it with the Visual Studio debugger.

Yes, it is possible to change email created from triggers.

    thanks for the quick reply.

i have tried debugging in Visual Studio in the Server by following the steps from

msdn.microsoft.com/.../cc588679(v=ax.50).aspx. But debugger didn't entered the BatchRun class.

These steps are for AX 2009 and won't work in AX 2012. Please follow Debugging in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

If you are using AX2012, you should follow this document

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg860898.aspx

If everything was right, it would work.

If you want help from us, you'll have to give us more information. Please start with steps you performed (not just "I followed this or that link").

these are the steps i followed in 2012.

    1.  opened visual studio. open BatchRun class from application explorer

and placed break point in serverProcessFinishedJobs method.

    3. in visual studio -> Debug-> attach to process and selected Ax32Serv.exe

    4. opened axDebug.exe.

    5. Scheduled a batch job and then nothing happens. the batch job just perfomed the desired task.

Have you ever debugged the BatchRun class ?

Were debugging symbols loaded? (You should see it when attaching to the process.)

If not, your CIL wasn't generated with debug information. Allow server-side debugging and run full CIL generation.

Also ensure yourself that your debugger is not configured with "Just my code".

This is what i am getting when i place breakpoints.

Debugger in not configured to JustMyCode

Can you you please explain in detail about the debuging symbols and what role CIL will play in placing breakpoints.
