Database performance optimization

hello everyone i have slow preformance on my AX 2009 system...i need some recomendetion please..

my DB server just one drive E: contain db and log file, i need to move the log file other drive?

how i Maintenance Tasks on my SQL server? what the best? what first ?

1.check DB integrity ?

2. recognize index 

3. rebuild index 

4. update statistics ?

    if my all STORAGE is SSD still i neet split DB TEMPDB AND LOG FILE ON DIFRENT PARTITION?

    1. It's recommended to run integrity check on your DB periodically. However it should not impact the performance.

    2 and 3 are recommended. You could have one script that checks each index, and either reorganizes or rebuilds it, based on the fragmentation. You can find an example of such scripts in the links of the first blog post that I linked (almost at the end of the page: "How to… Database Maintenance Strategies for Dynamics AX".

    4. It's recommended to update statistics.

    I think it's always recommended to put tempdb, data file and log file into separate storage.

    every day run  one time integrity check

    and one time in week run

    r ecognize index

    or update statistics also every day?

    but i have one storage all flash SSD so stil split partitions?

    and  "How to… Database Maintenance Strategies for Dynamics AX its about ax2012 i have ax 2009 i can do somthing in wizard sql managment?

    There is no one definite answer on how often you should run what maintenance on your database. It really depends on your system.

    And also if your system is slow it might require more than maintenance plans to resolve the issues.

    I don't have more specific info about the optimal setup of SSD disks.

    The "intelligent" index maintenance script can't be created with the maintenance plan wizard. Instead you must create and schedule an SQL job manually in SSMS.

    I have a 50gb db with tables more millions rows...

    U can please write me the exactly script ro run The "intelligent" index maintenance ? And I scheduled every day one time in night?

    My db server monitor sql db always 25% cpu I think it’s not normal..I check another client with ax 2009 and it’s about 2% only

    Thanks so just copy all this script as is and copy to sql agent job? And run every night?

    Yes, and remember to verify it in a test environment first.
