We have a requirement that user wants
to have custom start time and end time on
booking that should show in the schedule board
instead of field service OOB timing .
is that possible ? Could tell me how to archive this ?
Thanks and advance
Nobody forces them to change the status. Even if the status is still scheduled, you can put in arrival time and end time, even days after the job (provided that your filter allows you to see bookings in the past). Or do I mis-understand the requirement?
Thanks for the response . Yes I can understand your point but business wants Technicians to input the actual start and end time instead of status change as Technicians are too busy and they may forgot to change the status on time so enforcing them to put the timing even later
You could add custom fields or even a 1:n entity to capture time reporting and ignore the timestamps that are captured.
If you don't want to push your technicians, how would they ideally like to work - can you describe the ideal process? By just 2 taps the tech can update a booking and you could have rules in the FS App to automatically fill in certain fields. If even 2 taps are too much, I guess your custom fields will not help either.
Thanks both for responses . do not want to rely on status change and the time stamp and pushing technician to key in actual start and end time manually as business works such way .
Current issue is the technician completed the work and filled the custom timings but he change the booking status after few days back (due to some reason ) . Schedule board booking window showing till booking status completed .
Thanks a lot both .
I'm with Alexander, Is there a business need for custom timing fields or a reason why the OOTB fields wouldn't satisfy the requirement? That would be most helpful.
Can you explain what the use case is? Why custom fields?
