Grid in CRM 2011 not displaying correctly when using IE 11

The grid does not display correctly when using IE 11

Note: for the issues described it

   - does work when using FireFOX. 
   - does work when point to a CRM 2016 install.

At the same time the displaying of Activities and task for cases does not work.

They are both related.

This may have happened after installing MySQL with dotnet 4.6.

I cannot uninstall that at the moment to test.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello Nick,

    There was an issue with a couple of recent updates which has been caused display issue in CRM.

    heres a link to a thread discussing it:

    community.dynamics.com/.../230126

    There are a couple of workarounds discussed in the thread, each with a  its own problems.

    What we did to get around it was uninstall the updates causing the issue (KB4012215 & KB4012204).

    Hi All,

    The issue is with the following version from the about screen of IE

    Update version:  11.0.40  (KB4012204)

    On our machines I was not able to uninstall these updates

    I resolved the issue by installing a new Microsoft update just released to fix the issue.

    New KB:  kb4016446

    ie11-windows6.1-kb4016446-x64_2e25ccf97f66241fa16cdf08da65f773e849f651.msu

    Note a reboot is required
