Hello all,

we  deployed D365 finance on-premises,

how to open the URL (ax.d365ffo.onprem.XXXXX.loc) on a local network PC?

it's not joined to the environment domain.

also how to connect the mobile app to the environment?

thanks in advance

    Hi w.sallam,

    Please refer this: docs.microsoft.com/.../setup-deploy-on-premises-pu12

Doc mentioned: We recommend that you use a publicly registered domain name for your production installation of AOS. In that way, the installation can be accessed outside the network, if outside access is required.

So I think It shouldn't be possible not to join the domain.

    Hi w.sallam,

Did you follow the instructions for the on-premise deployment? docs.microsoft.com/.../setup-deploy-on-premises-pu12

For the mobile workspaces, you have to do a setting on ADFS: docs.microsoft.com/.../mobile-platform-home-page

you have two ways of doing this One setup your D365FO to Access using a public URL (Less secure) and the second one Access via VPN (Point to Site). to avoid complexity and security point of view better to connect with VPN for mobile users. if you can connect to D365FO using company wifi (intranet) on your mobile and its working without problem, then it's just a matter of configuring VPN.

    Hi all,

    and thanks for your replies.

as this is a test environment we don't need a publicly registered domain

I found out that adding the second DNS on the ip configuration to the local DNS did the trick and now we can access the URL on the PC machines.

I will try the link André gave for the mobile.
