Need help regarding roles for a new user

Hi,

I have created a new user in our CRM-2016.

I was able to login successfully as that user, but when I click on Leads - All Leads imported, I see the leads which were imported to the other users/ entire organization.

This user should not see any leads, contacts etc. of other users. Everything should be blank because it's a new user, but I am able to see all the records of other users. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank You

    Hello,

Please change the security role and set the read write access for lead, contact entity to user level only.

You have some security privileges assigned somewhere otherwise the user would receive an error after logging in to the CRM (and see nothing but the error).

    a) check the User to see if they have any Security Role assigned directly against them

    b) check the User to see if they belong to any Teams and if those Teams have any Security Roles assigned (all users will belong to at least 1 team - the default one of the Business Unit they are created under)

Note: if user level privilege is inherited as it is assigned against a Team it becomes "Team" rather than "User" level.

    Hi Kumar,

To resolve this issue, change the security role(s) of the user so that their highest privilege on the contact and lead entities is a basic privilege.

pastedimage1607287941507v1.png Basic. This access level gives a user access to records that the user owns, objects that are shared with the user, and objects that are shared with a team that the user is a member of.

This is the typical level of access for sales and service representatives.

The application refers to this access level as User.
