    Hi veera,

The security is role based. you cannot hide a menu item for a particular user directly. you can hide/show menu item to a "Security Role"

So, for both users, note down the name of roles assigned. Then for each of roles, which you listed down, adjust permissions (View/Update/None/Delete/Insert)

If the two users, which you are talking about have same roles assigned, you may need to create a copy of original role, to do changes. it is not recommended to do changes in original role

Well I am not sure where the information can be in best way.

you can find few details on msdn

Also you can have a look at series of posts written by André. Part 5 seems related to your question.

Usually  there are two ways to solve this problem.

    1. By SDT (Security Development Tool)

Using SDT you can duplicate and apply needed permission on duplicated privileges

    2. By Manual AOT changes

You can also duplicate existing privileges from AOT and then you can change permission level of Menu Item, within the duplicated privilege, by going into AOT.

Note that your menu items belong to privileges, those don not belong to any Role. Here is the hierarchy of security artifacts

      Manu Item(s) >> Privilege > Duty >> Role

    hi Veera,

One thing you can do. it will take so much time.

Go to System Administration-->setup-->Security Privileges-->New-->Right click on it New Duty-->Right Click New Privileges-->Add Permissions-- >Main Menu-->Rich Client You can select entry points and set Access Level to it. After this go to Security Role Create new Role click on Add you can see Your created Privilege just assign Duty to the Role. I don't know this way is right or not but it is worked for me.
