    Hello,

    1. E.g., vikassankla.wordpress.com/.../list-of-modules-in-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012-r3

    2. It is a challenging task to install AX on a home PC. Refer e.g. www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

    3. After AX2012 R3, we now have Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition, which is a cloud-based version. Perhaps, Microsoft would allow it to be installed on-premise, but not sure yet.

    4. E.g., www.youtube.com/watch

    Hi JaguarsJags,

for 1: The best way to get an overview of the different modules are probably the training materials / videos available on the Dynamics learning Portal. This is, however, not open source and you need an association with a MS Partner to become able to access it. Alternatively, you can take a look at the following TechNet/AX-help sites to get an overview

    technet.microsoft.com/.../gg852966.aspx

    ax.help.dynamics.com/en

for 2: Dynamics AX is not open source software. As mentioned under 1, you need an association with a MS Partner you can provide you with a local demo copy

for 3: There is no AX2016. The official term is Dynamics 365 for Operations. Most call it short 'AX7'. Differences to the Prior Version can be found here: ax.help.dynamics.com/en Please see the new or changed Feature section

for 4: There are a couple of changes regarding CRM, which will be part of Dynamics 365 for Operations. You can also get an overview on those Features either through the MS learning or TechNet sites.  Probably also have a look at the following site: http://axroadmap.dynamics.com/

Hope this helps answering your questions.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
