Project/ Subproject budget without bifurcation

Hi All !!


Does D365 F&O on Projects level allow creating budgets without specifically tagging it against a transaction type and category ?
 
For example client expects the Budget to be configured as:

Prj 01              - 1 Cr. 
SubPrj 01.1     - 30 Lacs
SubPrj 01.1.1  -  12 Lacs
SubPrj 01.1.2  -  05 Lacs
SubPrj 01.1.3  -  13 Lacs

Is there any alternate to manage budget for the project

    Short answer is No, Std D365FO Project Budgets cannot be created purely at the Project WBS level without a transaction type and category. Project budget lines are typically defined against:
    Transaction type (Hour, Expense, Item, Fee, On account)
    Project category
    Optionally activity/worker/date dimensions
