Event Portal Verify Email

Hi,

We would like a way to have contacts that sign up to the Event Portal, to verify their email address, by sending them an automated email with a code, or a link, so that we can make sure that all contacts are real.

Has anyone ever done this before, are there any suggestions/recommendations please?

    Hi Darren,

    this use case is not specific to events but generic: where email address provided in the form submission needs to be validated. you can have custom flag on contact where default is NOT VERFIED

    - continuously running journey that has a segment

    - this segment picks up every new contact created via submission of specific form

    - the email sent out has a unique link behind a "verify" button

    - trigger on link clicks, and mark the email address as VERIFIED

    any other marketing campaigns etc only run on segments with VERIFIED contacts (rest are filtered out)
