RTC show old License even though new license file was uploaded

I am struggling with a licensing issue with NAV 2017 CU6

On JAN 23 I uploaded a license to a database, Today I received a new license file. I upload it in the DEV environment successfully, restart the NAV instance and can confirm that the license has been change in the DEV environment. However if I were to launch Windows RT Client and select Help About NAV and select View license information - it still reflects the old license...in addition to uploading the license through DEV environment, I have also used the power-shell scripts to upload it directly to the database, and even to the master. yet still the Windows client reflects the old license. When I search for the license info within SQL server the license field actually says NULL for that instance. Other database (instances) appear to be a hexadecimal entry...I even tried to copy the field but then i get prompted with an invalid license when opening the Dev environment...so i put back the NULL value... I can't seem to figure this out...Any thoughts or ideas

Do you have multiple databases ?  make sure you are connected to right database.  If you upload the license successfuly using NAV Development environment and then restart the NAV Services it should work. I have not seen an instance where it did not work. Unless you are using the change option for the license instead of Upload

I also think that you connect client not to the same database where you uploaded your license to. Otherwise, it is extremely strange case.

check, which nav service is linked to the database in dev env. goto file/database/information.

start any of the pages, e.g. company information out from dev env. rt is then started, check then, which nav server link is used.

also set system indicator in comp. info to company-database-server.
