Is there a feature where we can set MOQ for items we sell to customers.  Also is there a flag that would alert us when we are entering a lower qty than the MOQ for an item on a sales order?

thanks in advance for any feedback!

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Melissa,

My name is Becky and I will assist you.

I am assuming that MOQ stands for make order quantity or manufacturing order quantity. If you have the Manufactuirng module and the item is included in MRP,  you can set up an Order Point Quantity on the Item Resouce Planning window. If your on hand quantity falls below the Order Point Quantity at the site, a planned manufacturing order will be created when you generate MRP.

There is no alert that would let you know your on hand item quantity has fallen below the order point quantity. If the item is included in MRP, MRP will generate an order to bring to bring items back into inventory.

With MRP, you can also set up forecasting for future demand of your item. This allows you to order items to meet future demand so that you do not go below your order point quantity.

     I hope this helps.

Thank you for responding and apologies for lack of details. MOQ is minimum order quantity, meaning the minimum quantity a customer must purchase at one time.

    Hello Melissa,

There is a minimum order quantity that you can set up when you purchase orders but there is no minimum order quantity that you can set for Sales Orders. The only thing I can think of there would be to only sell in specific unit of measure (say cases) and only set up you price list for cases. They would not be able to enter a quantity in a different unit of measure (say each).
