account number for transaction type exchange rate loss does not exist while doing foreign currency valuation in AP

Dear All

Good Morning!!

Please be informed that i am also getting same error and i have setup 

1  GL >> Posting >> accounts for automatic transactions 

2. GL >> setup >>Ledger >> realized gain/loss and unrealized loss/gain accounts 

Here i need to know whether we need to select  realized gain/loss and unrealized loss/gain accounts for related currencies also or not

since we have selected same accounts at ledger as specified above point # 2 so i think we no need to specify accounts for each currency 

We would request you all please check and clarify above clarification 

suppose it is  a bug please let us know the hotfix for the same and do the needful.

    I am also faced same error.

    1  GL >> Posting >> accounts for automatic transactions 

    2. GL >> setup >>Ledger >> realized gain/loss and unrealized loss/gain accounts

    3.GL >> Ledger >> in account structure this loss and gain account should be added or else its not accepting to proceed 

    4.GL >>Currencies >>Currency revaluation accounts

    Note:

     In account structure this loss and gain account should be added or else its not accepting to proceed

    How were you able to solve this error? I also have the same issue  - although all the accounts are specified in the corresponding sections of currency revaluation I still get the error:

    "Account number for transaction type Exchange rate gain does not exist"
    "    Account for currency EUR has not been created."Account for currency USD has not been created."

    Hello Nina-m,

    Are you operating AX2012 or D365FO?

    Which system version do you operate exactly?

    Setting up the FX gain/loss accounts in the ledger form should be sufficient unless something has been modified?

    Have you tried setting up the FX gain/loss accounts for the EUR/USD?

    Hello Ludwig Reinhard,

    Thank you for your response.

    FX gain/loss accounts (which are part of active Account Structure) are setup for each currency, however I still get the error.

    Hi Nina,

    Did not find a specific hint on LCS that this could be a bug. Do you have a developer around who could help you debugging the issue?

    By the way, can you let us know what AX version you operate?
