Disable batch job alerts to admin user?

Hello,

Some of the system batch jobs in D365 Finance and Operations send email alerts after a successful run, to the email address defined on the 'Admin' user account. Is there a way to stop those alerts?

We are unable as sys admin to login on that user and do this manually, and also since release 10.0.41 some batch jobs are not scheduled but generated and run on the fly, so disabling an alert is not possible in those cases anyway.

We need the email address on the Admin account (User > User options, Account tab), otherwise custom alerts will start using the real Admin account email which is not allowed.

Hello,

In batch job form you must disable emails alerts for each batch.

Mohamed, I know about the Alert menu option, but that shows alerts for the account I am logged in with. It does not show the alerts set for Admin, under which the system batch jobs are running. As they are system batch jobs, I can also not change the owner and then change alerts.

Unfortunately, there is no good way to do it from the user interface without being able to log in as the user.
What you need to do is create a job that updates all records in the BatchJobAlerts table for the admin user.

You could however make a code extension to the class EventNotificationBatch, that checked the state of the batchJobHistory, and then permanently disable these successful run alerts sent to the admin.
