One AOS Crashed and Reports stopped working eventhough we have 2 other AOS running. AX 2012 R2 Cu9

We have total 3 AOS.

I created a Dynamics AX Client config file with 3 AOS as per Microsoft Docs and Pasted that in a folder in server where we have SSRS Installed.

But Still When AOS 1 Crashes, reports doesnt work. Reports start working only when we have AOS1 running.

How can i resolve this issue so that One AOS Crash doesnt effect reports as two other AOS are still running?

AX 2012 R2 Cu9

Error That shows when AOS 1 is down.

Error while setting server report parameters. Error message: The DefaultValue expression for the report parameter ‘AX_CompanyName’ contains an error: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.EnvironmentPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. (rsRuntimeErrorInExpression)

No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.xxx.xx.xx:xxxx

Go to System Administration - Setup - Business intelligence - Reporting Services - Report servers. You should see one configuration record for each AOS (the configuration is linked to AOS via field "Application Object Server name". Do you have config for each AOS?

Yes I have config defined in the path you mentioned for all 3 AOS.

Could you then give us more information about what you mean by " reports doesnt work"? Thanks!

I get this error when the AOS1 is down and when i try to print the report. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.xxx.xx.xx:xxxx

I assume that's the AOS that is down. Your SSRS is trying to talk to that AOS.

You need to change the AX client configuration that the SSRS connection is using, and add more AOS to that configuration. Not sure if it work but I would try that.

This configuration might be in the registry of your SSRS server, or it might be an .axc file in your SSRS installation folder.

if you see my question , i already mentioned that my configuration file contains all the 3 AOS.  Still i am having this issue when one AOS is down.

No, earlier we discussed about Report servers configuration inside AX. It controls which report servers each AOS connects to.

And my latest comment was about AX client configuration (that you manage with Dynamics AX client configuration utility). This controls which AOS the report server is connecting when a report is being printed.

Right we discussed about the configuration when we open AX. But in my question i already mentioned that i pasted the client configuration file which contains all 3 aos information in the SSRS bin folder....

So i have that configuration file already in that path as shown below. But stilll i am having the issue.

    \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.[SSRSInstanceName]\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin.

Is your .axc file in the bin folder called Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.ReportConfiguration.axc? Otherwise it will not be used.

yes its the name like you mentioned as i followed microsoft docs.

the file i pasted in ssrs bin folder is

    Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.ReportConfiguration.axc
