Hi,

I have created a button "Download Quote". And when i click on this button. Quote(Created word document for this) is getting downloaded in word format. So, now the requirement is, when I click on this button, the email should be sent to customer  and with pdf attachment (same template should be used for pdf which is used for download word document).

Is it possible through workflow or please tell me any other ways.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Daniel ,

    Thanks for the reply.

Now, I'm using workflow to attach document in note section of quote. I tried flow to convert it to PDF. but it didn't work. So, could you please tell me how can I retrieve the document from notes in JavaScript or in any other way?

    Thanks in advance

RE: Send an email with attachment(Word Template) on quote

    Hello _nanu2208,

please have a look at the following existing threads, which referring to examples, of how to send emails with attachments, using for example JavaScript within Dynamics CRM.

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/170182/javascript-send-email-with-attachments/420702

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/255781/how-can-we-send-email-using-javascript-in-dynamics-crm

    https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/blogs/send-a-pdf-file-as-an-attachment-in-mail-using-javascript-in-crm-20152016

But as you button action is downloading the file locally to your PC, instead of a attachment-record within Dynamics CRM, it's probably not possible in an easy way.

On the other side, if you are creating a new CRM record (at the attachments or an custom one), which contains the file, you can also trigger a PowerAutomate Flow, to retrieve the records by the Common Data Service Connector and send this with an Email action:
Please see a similar example, at our documentation:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/connection-dynamics365

Further, please note, within the latest Dynamics CRM online release (2020 wave 2), by using the default button "Export to PDF", you already have the full functionality, to decide to Download, Email or Save the record in Dynamics, directly in one step:

I hope with this information, I was already further able to help you and to provide you some suggestions.
