Machine Center loading (Finite Loading)

How to load the similar machine on a single operation against a production order? For example - in case of 5 similar machine center (Drilling) having capacity of 100 units/day. If we create a production order for 1000 Units then its routing line takes 10 days to complete this task. If we define the capacity (5) at work center level, then also system takes 10 days to complete. Please suggest how to do the mapping so that system should take 2 days to complete the task and shows machine wise loading as well against the same production order.

    Hi Ashok,

    Following are the steps:

    > Define capacity at Work Centre - let's say 5 in your case.

    > Generate the calendar for this work centre again

    > In Routings > Lines > define "Concurrent Capacities" that you want to use (between 1 to 5) as your Work centre as max. capacity of 5.

    Hi Vishal,

    Thanks, this is done but as per the scenario system should take the setup time for all the machine center which has been loaded. In this case it should be setup time * 5.

    This is not available in standard.

    You need to do customization in CU 99000773 - Calculate Prod. Order > TransferRouting() function to achieve this requirement. This will solve your requirement during Refresh Production Order.

    However, if you need to change this during Planning as well,  you need to touch the standard planning engine module and related codeunit.
