Import Journal lines in D365

I am trying to import payment general lines using the "open lines in excel" feature it gives me the export for journal template in excel and i have the dynamics add ins in excel. Filling the lines when i publish the workbook it doesn't reflect in the journal in D365, in fact it does nothing. Am i missing something in the process ? Please help

Hi Syed Ehtesham Ahsan,

When you click on "Open lines in Excel" it gives you several templates. Each template supports predefined account and offset account types, so please check that account type is correct.

What platform version of D365FO are you using? There have been issues in the past.

Quick question, when you populate lines on excel, did the color of the lines changed with alternate shades of blue? If the color of line do not change, then perhaps you need to click enter on the first line of the excel template to make sure that excel template is properly tagged.

Let me know if this works.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is that you need but tried with: Data Management using >Vendor invoice journal header and Vendor invoice journal line Entities
