Create a new prospect error

Hi,

I'm having trouble trying to create a new prospect.

It happens when I select the Type ID (either Customer or Vendor)

an error message saying "Cannot create prospect of type customer or vendor directly."

pops up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This is "by design". You have to create a prospect of any type with "Table source"="Relation table" first and convert it later (which is said implicitly in the error message because you have to do it in a different step).

    Thanks for the 'developer' answer, it pointed me in the right direction.  Here is how I resolved it via the client.

    Sales and marketing/Setup/Prospects/Relation types

    I had only 'Customer table' and 'Supplier table' Table sources listed.

    Creating a new Type, and selecting the "Relation table" option, and saving.  I can now create new prospects, selecting this type.

    Don't forget to refresh the All Prospects list form below, to see your new Prospect.
