Unable to call method, the ActiveX control is not fully initialized

Dears,

Please note that i am facing this error:

'Unable to create ActiveX control

CmxPhone control is not found on the system. please check if the control is correctly installed'

Kindly advise

    To solve this error:

    1. Close Axapta

    2. Copy the “smmPhone.ocx” file from this path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Common and paste it here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Common

    3. Next, you rename the file to “CmxPhone.ocx”

    4. After you do this, you open the command line (cmd) and enter in this command: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Common\CmxPhone.ocx"

    (Note: This command registers the file on the system)

    5. Press Enter. Open Axapta back up and the software should open without the error message popping back up.

    Can I re-install Active-x control manually? if yes how?

    Try clearing your usage data. It works sometimes just by clearing the usage data.
