Data Export through Data Import Export Framework

Hello,

I need to export product information through data import export framework, I have seen many articles on importing data into Ax, but having trouble to export into excel file. If someone can explain the steps or any article. Help will be appreciated. Thanks

Could you explain your problem, please? Do you have problem with getting AX data to staging tables, or with exporting from staging tables to files? Do you have any particular problem with Excel files?

Thanks for reply!

Actually I can export the data but data is showing lot of comma and semi colon signs. Data is all over showing garbage.

How did you configure the data format? Can you give us an example of the wrong data?

Hi Tanveer,

It is very simple. please find the step by step process

1. Create processing group with product entity and source type excel and mapped the sample excel file for mapping.(only column which is required for export)

2. Generate source mapping.

3. Create another processing group with product with source type "AX"

4. Do get staging.

5. Go to -> view staging data and select export to file option

6. Please select processing group which was created for file mapping (step 1)

7. select the location where you want to export the file.

@bhaskar, I have tried doing the following steps, but when I try exporting the products from my AX instance. it doesnt exports all the products, it only exports those products which were once imported using Data migration Framework (where as i also need those products that were created in dynamics AX not imported in AX). Kindly let me know if you can share any info Regarding this.

export functionality will work company wise. please make sure you should not have any unrealistic data as legacy. I mean, some data exist which does not have any relation with mandatory table like (Model Group, Invent Item Group, Module Types, supply Types). I will suggest you please create one product with above mentioned table data and validate the product once done , please export and check.
