I'm trying to design a report that takes all of the items ordered (from our
customers) in a given day for production scheduling purposes.
The report is intended to be run around the close of business, to
aggregate all of the day's orders. A small caveat our warehouse may start
picking some of these orders the same day, and if a short exists, they will
pick register the picked quantity and not the order quantity.
I need to grab the value of the original order quantity to make sure
we have available stock. It seems that InventSum should hold this information
(or at least I think it does).
However the field definitions leave much to be desired, can anyone
point me in the right direction so that I can get the following
Total Customer orders (not production or purchase orders) for a date/item, or
in total
Total Available inventory (not affected by reservation).
