It is mainly related to insufficient permissions on SQL server. If the database has been created despite the error as workaround for this problem you can:

    1) Copy the xp_ndo.dll file to target installation directory (file is located in SQLDatabase\PFiles\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\Database directory of product DVD).

    2) Run this SQL commands to add the stored procedures:

    USE master

    EXEC sp_addextendedproc xp_ndo_enumusersids, ‘C:[Location of file]xp_ndo.dll’

    GO

    GRANT EXECUTE

    ON [xp_ndo_enumusersids]

    TO PUBLIC

    GO

    USE master

    EXEC sp_addextendedproc xp_ndo_enumusergroups, ‘C: [Location of file]xp_ndo.dll’

    GO

    GRANT EXECUTE

    ON [xp_ndo_enumusergroups]

    TO PUBLIC

    GO

    3) Run the setup again.

    Hi Thanks Daniele Rebussi

I run the SQL commands on master data base Query and get success

but still get the same error

Just a couple of additional checks:

    - Is installation username included into the local administrator group?

    - Is the port 1433 opened on firewall? (You can also consider to temporarly disable the firewall)

    - Is the User Account Control turned off?

    - Did you run the setup with "Run as administrator" option?

    Moreover:

    - Go to services.msc and check that SQL service is running.

    - Check if you don't have any previous installation (mdf and ldf files in \Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\Database\ directory): in this case delete the files or rename the database.

    Am so appreciated your help

So  You mentioned That one of the  Error reason is :

Is installation username included into the local administrator group

I use the Administrator Account to log in to the NAV SQL machine and for the SQL services Log in with different account (service account ) and I configure it  in the Local Security Policy do I need further conig for the account ?

    thanks

Should be enough to set the user with server role - SysAdmin: if, during the installation, inside "Client" tab you left Windows, as credential type you need to modify the user which is running the setup, otherwise change permission of the account specified.

Now I get another account error the account the run NAV2009 server cannot access to the Demo Database that I create I use for the server login a service account  and for the SQL instance the default account (network service account ) should I use the same account in booth machines ?

    thanks

From the other machine can you connect via telnet to the NAV server?

I suggest to verify if the proper delegations exists: take a look at the following link: msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd301254.aspx
