Topics as basis for Audience

Is there any way in RTM/Customer Insights - Journeys to use Topics as the segment basis for a Journey? This was possible with subscription lists in outbound marketing. If this isnt possible, then topics are not truly a replacement for the subscription lists, as we aren't able to use the preference to be the basis of the audience for a Journey.
I have the same question (2)

I don't know the answer but just posted about the same thing with some additional questions: https://community.dynamics.com/forums/thread/details/?threadid=a24ddb12-ab5c-ee11-be6f-000d3a4e9eae

In this months' update, it should be possible to do so:

    • Consent: Create segments from consent topics and purposes
      • Use the consent captured from your customers to create segments that target people who have opted into receiving specific types of communications. Segments now support creating segments from topic and purpose contact point consent records, so that you can get accurate segment sizes and don’t include people who would not receive your messages. For example, create a segment that only includes contacts that have opted in to receive your "Monthly Newsletter" topic. Or create a segment that only includes leads who have not opted out of receiving commercial messages.

However, I have updated my Customer Insights - Journeys application to the newest version but I still cannot figure out how I can make such a Segment...

I have tried to add the related tables (Purpose and Topic) to the Segment designer, but it says the tables cannot be added.

I have been waiting for the September release specifically for this feature, and it is even listed in the release notes. Unfortunately, after the update, there is no clear way to implement this? Some guidance from Microsoft on how to do this should be provided if the capability is listed in the release notes.

Update: Microsoft said there is a backend server rollout that needs to be completed before we will see the feature show up in our region. Didn't have an exact ETA. Just posting here so anybody who comes across this knows their update isn't broken. :)

As Jacklin mentioned, it looks like it is rolled out instead of being immediately available. I checked again this morning and now I can create Segments based on Topics and/or Purposes. :-)
