Preferred methodology or approach for D365 review project

Hi Experts,
 
I would like to grab your thoughts on following:
 
Problem statement : Customer has gone live with D365 F&O solution and running for almost one year but facing lot of issues on processes, data, report etc...and now approached you for doing review of the existing implementations and suggest way forward
 
Question: What methodlogy or approach you will follow and what are the key factors you will consider for doing the review of the project to provide suggestions for improvement?

    My approach has always been to have the customer identify the major pain points in their processes and address those immediately.  The dialogue usually helps uncover minor pain points as well and provides a direction to go in for resolution.  You then prioritize and develop an action plan to mitigate those issues.

    Hi,
    You need to determine the severity of the problem first, according to the severity and urgency of the problem, the customer's willingness, the difficulty of solving the problem to determine the order of the problem. From my perspective, the order would be serious and urgent, serious but not urgent, not serious but urgent, not serious and not urgent.
