Select suggested vendor in RFQ process

Dears,

I want to select the suggested vendor in the RFQ process so that I can send the RFQ to those vendors. But when you will create RFQ the suggested vendors button get disabled in al case. Kindly suggest if functionally we do something.

    As per standard AX, code, which is written behind, this button can be enabled only in case if

    1) Line Type = Internal Catalog Items

    and

    2) RFQ Requirement = Formal

    Surprisingly for#2 system is set to AllowEdit= no on Table Level. I cannot recommend your to set it as AllowEdit= true, if there is some functional reason behind it.

    Thanks for your quick reply. Please what shall I do in this case functionally.

    Even in case 1 you cannot see the suggested vendors while selecting the vendors for RFQ functionally.

    Vendor lookup , in Purchase requisition line is dependent upon two factors

    1. If you select Item Id

      The system shows you only those vendors which has status preferred for any vendor-procurement category. I repeat its ‘Preferred vendors’ not approved

    2. If you select Procurement Category

      In this case system shows you vendor lookup based on Procurement policy , you have the option to allow all vendors for any procurement policy.

    Thanks for your reply. I have very simple question If I will create a list of vendor for particular segment of product/category   then the vendor suggestion is for ?? Then how vendor suggestion team will suggest vendor and how procurement team will send quotation to those vendor...

    Sorry that I open the long time post. Just want to ask do you able to solve this case?

    Could this be done using standard AX or have to be customized?

    Because currently I have the same requirement.
