there is an area of the system that for data protection purposes I need only the person completing the fields to be able to see the screens and their manager - how would I achieve this, is it even possible

Hi Daniel,
To control who can access restricted or sensitive data and resources and what they can do with them, assign users to security roles.

Each privilege has a menu that allows you to define its access level. Access levels determine how deep in the business unit hierarchy the user can perform the privilege.
For common users, you can assign 'user' level privilege, which makes they can only see or operate records they own:
For manager, you can assign higher privileges.
Go to Adavance Setting Gear option
Then Setting tab press
Then Asign to Role According To your prefence
