I used Version 1612 (8.2.1.176).
I need to click twice to perform my global search. Please refer to the image below:
Can someone please confirm that is the normal in (8.2.1.176) ?
Only one click is needed in V9 environment.

Hi,
It's by design in legacy form.
If you try to search in global search in v8.2 or v9 legacy form, you will be able to enter key words before you click the second search button.
After moving to v9 UCI form, you will be lead to the new global search page after a single click.
