Hi All,

I started exploring ax 2012 SSRS reporting and for my business need I need to customize ledger trial balance report.

The ledger trail balance report uses the rdp datasource and is uses the tmp table ledgertrail balance internally I addded a new filed to the table and assigned a value to in the contract.

I am not able to access the same in my visual studio.For ur info I am using a two box installation in which I am connecting to aos instance from a different box.

any help is apprrciated.

After that you should check the Query property of the DS if you can find the new fields in the select statement. Just click into the property and open the "Select a Microsoft Dynamics AX Report Data Provider" Dialog.

Select the required DataProvider Class and click Next. Than you'll get the possibility to select some or all fields from the tables that are provided by the DP class.

Hi All,

am new to AX 2012 SSRS Reports, am facing the same scenario, I need to add AccountName field to the report for Detail as well as Summary, the field is already there in LedgerTrialBalanceTmp, where i need to drag and drop the field and also i have some customization to do, in which method should i need to write in RDP Method.

Pls Help.

Hi all,

I have a similar problem :

In my situation the dataset Refresh function (and the click on the Query) is connecting in another environment, i.e. in my first AX environment that I have previously installed, but not in my current environnement ... the setup in the AX configuration Utility is correct (TCP and wsdl ports are corresponding to the good environement).

The Dynamics AX Application Explorer is connected on the correct environment.

If i deactivate my user from the initial environment, i receive error that User is unabled to connect ... but i don't want to connect to this environement !

Hi all,

SSRS report execution starts from the ProcessReport of the respective DataProviderClass.

So, from that point onwards the temporary table gets filled up based on required business logic and only these values gets exposed on the report.

If you are unable to find the exact location where the temporary table gets filled up, just place a breakpoint in the insert method of the temporary table and execute the report.
