Refeesh, to change decimal places for an item you have to remove it from any open purchase order. If you have SQL experience you can use the back door to make the change directly to the tables, which is always a last resort.

    Hello,

The error message indicates that this item is simply on certain purchase order, and therefore changing decimal places will not complete successfully. In order to get this resolved, consider the following:

    1. Review the list of the open purchase order and make sure to handle them, either cancel them, receive them or proceed with the proper actions.
    2. After proceeding with the above, run the "remove completed purchase orders", which will move completed purchase orders to historical tables. >> Never get started with this task unless you make sure that you have a full backup of the database.

Furthermore, you may refer to Change Decimal Places - Inventory Utility for further details
