Workflow to change the color of navigation bar

Posted on by 10

Hello,

I'm using Crm Dynamics 365 on premise.

I'm looking for a workflow that can change the color of the navigationbar.

The workflow should change the color of the navigation bar, when a explizit 'Distributor' chosen.

Is that possible with a workflow or must be a javascript code?

I know how to make a new design with the chosen color, but the color should only change if the distributor 'xyz' has chosen.

So the navigationbar should change from blue mint to yellow for example.

Thanks for helping!

Robert

    Hi

I'm afraid there is no supported customization method to change the navigation bar color dynamically.

You can change the color of the navigation bar but this will apply under all conditions.

Any kind of change of the color is unsupported customization at the moment and achievable through JavaScript.

    Hello Andrew,

    thanks for your quick answer.

Ok and if I want to change only the background colour of this field?

For example, if the manucaturer == 'XYZ' then change the background color.

Is it only possible with jacascript code?

    Hello Robert,

Workflows work on the server-side. So the answer is workflow can't change this UI element.

I believe it's possible to change the color of the header in the unsupported DOM injection way but I won't recommend it.
