Hello all,
We are currently considering implementing the Marketing App alongside our existing Sales & Customer Service Apps.
Currently we have a problem with the "database" storage pot, as the capacity is maxed out. (We are already working on this, but that is not the point here).
To get a feel for how the Marketing App affects the three storage pots "Database"/"File"/"Log" I have the following questions for you:
- In your experience, what are the tables in the marketing app that have the most impact on the storage?
- In which of the three data pots are these tables located?
Specifically, I am interested in the tables around the marketing emails ("msdyncrm_marketingemail"/...). So which data pot does this affect?
I have sent around 1000 marketing mails in the 30-day test environment and this has increased the "file" data pot by 1 MB. I just want to make sure that this actually affects it as I only see the total usage and not the individual tables as it is a test environment.
Thank you very much in advance!
BR

MichaelFo96 - D365 Marketing data is stored differently to other data, and most of it is not actually stored in Dataverse.
Here is some information that might be useful for you.
Service limits and fair use policy - learn.microsoft.com/.../fair-use-policy
Recurring activity bulk deletion in Dynamics 365 Marketing - learn.microsoft.com/.../recurring-activity-bulk-delete
This explains where different data is stored for the purpose of Power BI reporting, but should also be useful based on your original questions -learn.microsoft.com/.../custom-analytics
Any images or files stored for your emails etc. do not count towards your file storage in Dataverse, again these are stored outside of your environment.
I hope this helps!
Hi partner,
1: Would you mind telling me how many environments you have under your tenant? and your capacity (database) size. Because sometimes the insufficient capacity is also related to the number of environments. Because creating a new environment requires at least 1GB of available capacity, that is to say, each environment occupies at least 1GB of memory. For example, if you only have 5GB, but you have four or five environments, it is inevitable that the capacity will not be enough as the usage time increases. (Please ignore if you have enough capacity!)
2: You can use the following path to view the specific resource usage on the detailed information interface (from high to low according to the chart).
Select the Details button (Storage data details button.) on the Summary tab view to see an environment-level detailed view of where your organization is using capacity, in addition to the three types of capacity consumption. If you don't mind, you can provide the screenshot below.
BTW, everyone's usage is different. Generally, database is the easiest to reach the maximum value, followed by files. Attachments in emails may take up a lot, have you tried the method in this link?
learn.microsoft.com/.../free-storage-space
Do you mean the following modules (database, file, log) all maxed out?
