Update Opportunity Sales Stage field when Lead to Opportunity Sales Process Stage changes

Hi, I'm trying to set the Sales Stage field on the Opportunity entity to equal the Lead to Opportunity Sales Process Stage when the process stage changes. I'm using a workflow and have followed the instructions outlined at the link below. However, I'm not able to select the Opportunity entity for the Action Update in the workflow. The closest is the Opportunity ID, but when I select that, I can select the Active Stage on the next screen, but there is no option in the next dropdown list so I'm not able to Add anything to the Sales Stage field.

Any ideas what I'm missing? Refer to screenshots here. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Sally,

From what I know regarding setting Process Stages, you need to do this using a Custom Workflow.

There are a couple of custom workflow tools available that you can install and will allow you to do this:

    github.com/.../Dynamics-365-Workflow-Tools

    github.com/.../1.5.0.0

    www.itaintboring.com/.../tcs-tools-setactiveprocess-custom-workflow-activity

    Hope this helps.

Thanks - I'm not looking to set the Process Stage. I'm looking to set the Opportunity Sales Stage field to be equal to the Process Stage. Sounds like some coding is required here for a custom workflow so I'll get a developer involved. Thanks.
